Best to replace the cord. You will have nothing but problems if you don't replace the cord. You can buy a replacement at the local Radio Shack which is cheaper than a service call for the dish.

Splice kit will degrade the signal and should only be used by a tech because most people do it wrong. Waste your money on a splicing kit today and call me tomorrow to fix it.

Get F connectors (that match the cable type, most likely RG6) and a coupling. Get a RG6 crimper, crimp the new connectors onto the 2 cut ends and put the coupling in between. Or replace the whole cable you can buy them already made from Radio Shack

you do not pick to improve your guy, you in straightforward words pick to take a seat with him and refer to him about the chored record. in case you both artwork then the abode and backyard artwork could be shared. if you're a kinfolk engineer, then the abode is your area. You both can do the outdoors artwork. merely undergo in options in case you 2 artwork mutually you will get the artwork carried out two times as quick and then have extra time for another.

I would think if he did it, shouldn't he be responsible for any damages he would cause from his work? I would see about having him pay for Direct TV to come out and fix it and then you would know it is done right. It couldn't hurt to ask him about his paying to have it fixed, since he is the one that messed up.

Don't get coax. Get RG6, there is a difference.

You can splice it, crimp it, or whatever yourself, or have the lawnboy do it. If he refuses, fire him.
