B & O is a well respected brand but has a niche market here in the UK. If you are ready to change then ask to PX it back at your dealer.

For £1400 you could buy a nice 'thin and crispy' HD model from someone else.

The problem is the Avant is a (crt cathode ray tube) and as LCD & plasma tvs are now the "in thing" getting that kind of money is tough. we are currently selling 32" flat screens VCR avants for £1200 so £1400 is a bit much.

Look, it cost you £5,500, so it must have cost the dealer around £4,000 to buy of the manufacturer's supplier, which in turn it must have cost about £2,000 to make, perhaps less. You have used it for 3 years and want to sell it for £1,400. It looks like a good price, but assume it goes wrong - could you afford to pay the repair bills. Better alternative - find an old people's home and donate it. You will get much more satisfaction. Remember - Money isn't everything

no way - why would someone pay 1400 for what i presume is a 3 year old 32" crt, when for the same price you can get a really excellent 32" hd lcd from sharp or sony - at that screen size lcd is really starting to compete with crt so I for one wouldn't consider a second hand unit, even if it is from B&O.

B&O plasma TVs are basically Panasonic rebadged units. their original prices have no meaning, much less re-selling it. I still think $2,569.00 is WAY to much for a 3-year old set, that's basically a professional Panasonic plasma with an aluminum bezel.

On ebay i think you may get a little more ... nothing on there suprises me however tv prices have dropped dramatically in recent years so i think you are being a little optimistic

Have you try eBay?

I am not sure, but collectors may be interested.

I collected vintage electronics, they seems much more elegant
and robustly built. I am not down to plasmas tv collection yet.
