I have a 3 year old Panasonic ED plasma tv. When I turn it on the colors are only green, white, and pink. After about 30 minutes the color comes in normally. This has been going on for about a year now. Sometimes, the color won't come in correctly all day. I tried unplugging the unit to see if the system will reset itself, but no luck. I haven't taken it to a repair shop because I'm not looking forward to pulling it off the wall, plus it weighs about 80lbs and is quite bulky. Of course, I know I will eventually have to do it. What could be the problem and does anyone have an idea what it will cost to repair. Thanks, Robert

The problem occurs with all sources: dvd, vhs, and tv broadcasts.

Are you absolutely positive the problem is not your source? Check all inputs, are you using composite video, or component video? (yellow or RGB) If it's not the source, then its a video input card that needs to either get checked for bad solder connections or replaced.

I'm not sure what can be done for your set. Reading about older plasma tvs I find their life expectancy was limited, unlike the later models which have a longer life. It may be a good idea to talk to someone at Panasonic about it. See what they say about your model and how long it is expected to last.
