When you turn on the TV the TV will flicker on and off. We have unplugged the TV for 5 minutes 10, 20, 30, and 24 hours. But the TV continues to flicker on and off. It will come on and as soon at the picture adjusts it will go off.

Hi there, is it an old television? If so, you more than likely will have to replace it. I just replaced an old Sony that I had for 10 years because I could hear what was going on, but couldn't see it. I called Sony, and asked them and they walked me through a few different things (including plugging/unplugging the entire system) and it still didn't work. Now with my new TV everything works fine. :) I'd call Phillips customer service and ask them, they will probably walk you through how to fix it. Good luck!!

A 62' t.v. ?

62' means 62 feet.

I wonder if you mean one which was built in 1962 ?

If that is so then I think you have had your money's worth. That's a pretty good innings for a t.v. receiver and it will cost much more than it is worth to have it repaired.
