ok for the satellite box.the new bin file has just been fixed. once you download it, what do you do? what are the steps. My daughters remote control to her tv started to smoke when she was using it this morning. She said she could hardly hold it in her hand it was so bad. She finally managed to throw it outside. Scary to say the least. Does anyone know what would cause this?

It does however have the ability to display color, as the settings menu and volume appear in color. It is also able to display color when not set to any input. The TV Model is a Toshiba ct-9946.

I currently have a 48" mitsubishi HD from 3 years ago but when I connect it to my PC through the DVI port, the screen is cut off on the sides and not fully centered. I am looking to upgrade to a bigger HD projection but I want to make sure I can get 100% of the screen when connected to my PC, just as if I were to connect to a LCD display

bought a 1080p Sharp 46inch TV...connected to my cable box (it is the box TW gives for digital cable). Time Warner did not tell me I need any kind of special package, I just have extended Basic cable service.., I connected it using component cable connections...then went and got HDMI cable....why is the image worse with HDMI? is there a set-up I am not doing? Also.....how come I get the side bars when watching TV channels? I am a newbie to all this new stuff so any info on how things should connect/work/show on the TV....would be MUCH appreciated. Also, when i got the TV I had the "old" cable box and it gave me some really sharp images on some channels I did not have before w/my regular TV...like instead of channel 4 I had channel 4.1, 4.2 etc....now with the new box, those do not show. And nothing is as "Sharp" as what they had at Best Buy....feel free to tell me I have been had.

I tried connecting composite cables from my HD DVD player's component out's to my HD LCD TV component in's. The picture quality is sharper than connecting composites through the correct composite ports.

Does this mean that the red/blue/green component cords' necessity for component quality picture is a myth?

i believe my tv's yellow slot is broken. i tested a dvd player using two tvs and found the video screen works on one and not the other. therefore i think one has a faulty yellow output. I would like to know some solution or place to buy a replacement.

when Samsung has a set with 500,000.1
then there is brightness 550

I have a Pioneer Plasma HDTV. I want an X-Box 360 Live to play on it.

Does leaving the TV on the same screen have the same effect of leaving ESPN (the bottom line), Fox (the logo), etc. on for a long time?

I don't want it if the X-Box 360 Live games will have different effects of burning into the screen than regular televised channels.

My daughter was walking around the house with magnet in hand, seeing what it would stick to. She was over by the TV and she said "the TV is colorful" When I finished what I was doing and focused on the TV to look for a game on, The screen was "colorful" If colorful means "all F**ked up" then wow, it is very colorful.
