I recently purchased HDTV and hooked it to HDTV cable, but some of HD channels don't look as crisp as other channels example ESPN HD looks far better then CBS HD even though both channels are having 1080i signal , I don't think it is problem with TV as channels that work look great.

My plasma tv's instruction manual says that the recommended source (dvd player) for my display is something that is in the 1080i format. Now I notice there is a fairly new format called 1080p and many dvd players advertise themselves as that. What happens if I buy one of these new 1080p dvd players but my plasma was manufactured before that format came out, will my display revert to 1080i or does the dvd player know what format is best for my display and automatically adjust for best available picture that the tv is capable of producing?

Is there a way to hijack a TV channel to display a certain feed instead of a blank channel on my TV? What I mean is, let's say channel 28 isn't used. Could I tap into that. How do hotels do it with their special hotel channel?

I was watching TV, local channels, no cable or DVDs nothing. Just the TV and all of a sudden the screen turns blue. I change the channel and the other channels are working fine. But when I switch back to the channel I was watching it's still blue, occasionally it will appear a black screen and fuzzy.

We tried moving the Antenna but nothing changes. How can I fix this problem?

My tv just randomly turns itself off after about 10 mins. I heard before that your remote batteries can have this affect on your tv so ive changed them for new ones but it has made no difference. Any ideas of what else could be the problem??

Whenever I watch the local channels, 2-5 (ABC, CBS, NBC, and that other one) the display is kind of fuzzy. It is a relatively new TV, and I have basic cable. This disappears on the upstairs TV and when I watch other channels. Oddly, it works perfectly when I watch it through the VCR. Any ideas on how to fix it?

When looking at the specs for new televisions, I see contrast ratios listed as "1500:1 contrast ratio" and "10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio". Is there a difference between "contrast ratio" and "dynamic contrast ratio"?
