16:9, 32"

I just need the size of the screen portion, not the frame/trim/anything but where the picture is.

I know they are 32" diagonally but what about hight?

Thanks!

A friend of mine says her television has recently been turning itself on (from standby) and changing channels without her touching anything. She lives in a detached house. Could a remote control or other device in someone else's house affect her television?

I am getting ready to purchase a Samsung LNT4061F 40" LCD television. I think I am going to purchase it from an online site called Vann's electronics. The price is great and there is no shipping or tax. My only problem is that a five year extended warranty on their site is going to cost $399.99. Where would you reccomend purchasing an extended warranty from at a cheaper cost. I found a web-site called D-TV express that says they have a 5 year in home plan for $139. That makes me skepticable but I"m not sure. I would like to purchase and extended warranty but preferrably at a price cheaper than $400 but I want a reliable reputable warranty. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that some people think extended warranties are a waste. I welcome comments on that as well but please help me find somewhere to purchase one should I decide to go the extended warranty route!!! Thanks a LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can get a beautiful 19" LCD monitor for less than $200, yet an LCD TV of similar or lesser resolution will cost me $500. Sure, I know it needs a tuner, but can that really account for a $300 difference?

My son would like a LCD/HD TV for Christmas. I know that HD stands for High Definition. But what does it actually do when you are watching it. So I have been looking at TV's to buy, but the LCD TV's look the same to me as the HD TV's do.

Or is it just me and they are very different.

Thank you so much.

So we bought a new clicked and tryed and tryed and tryed to program it with this tv but it wouldnt work, so we got a nother clicker and had no luck, in total we have tryed to program almost 3 clickers with this tv and none have been succesfull why? I have entered the code for dvd and vhs tv combo's and all three of the remotes were different companies that I tried..

my tv is not a digital tv but I do have a digital converter for my digital cable box, does this mean that I do not have to buy a new tv? I keep reading and reading and reading but am finding nothing that says we will be forced to buy a new tv it just says capable of receiving digital signals, which I can since I have digital cable. Can someone say for sure or point me in the right direction, or do I need to start saving for a new tv even though I have a beautiful 42 inch tv in a built in cabinet that I have only had for a few years......thanks

How do they determine the ratings? Do you have to watch an entire show for it to count or just change the channel to it for a couple of seconds?
