We have had this tv for a year or 2 now.. Its a sylvania with a built in DVD player and VHS player, however lately the clicker died. So we bought a new clicked and tryed and tryed and tryed to program it with this tv but it wouldnt work, so we got a nother clicker and had no luck, in total we have tryed to program almost 3 clickers with this tv and none have been succesfull why? I have entered the code for dvd and vhs tv combo's and all three of the remotes were different companies that I tried..

How do you know the remote died and not the sensor circuit in the TV?

You could buy an "exact" replacement remote control for your particular model of TV. If you use the google search below you will find companies that sell them.

Also, many times a non-working remote control can be brought back to life. See the second link below for an example.

Why don't you try to contact Sylvania and see if they have the remote that originally came with the set, and if they do not, maybe they can recommend a remote that will work with the set.

It seems more logical than blowing a bunch of money on different remotes trying to get them to work.

Can you manually turn it on? If so then something is wrong in the IR reciever circuit.

If you cant turn it on manually then throw it away and buy a new one.
