digital cable is just a signal. most all tv's can display the signal. whether it gets displayed in HD is the question of the tv. in your case your resolution is 1,366x768 so it can display signals in either 720p or 1080i. most tv broadcast are in 720p anyways so i would just leave it on that setting. 1080i is more for still images and 720p is more for action. of course theres 1080p but thats to expensive to record in so most programs arent there yet. 1080p is best for everything, television programs and gaming. you tv will work just fine! you may consider getting hd for some channels. its not that expensive anymore and the quality difference is quite noticable.

If you just watch Sky then you are already as digital as you need to be. The going digital you are talking about means your local TV transmitter will only work for Freeview boxes. If you use satellite it doesnt matter to you at all.

Yes,an LCD TV can do digital... i think should be ready made digital... Just get the digi box and plug it in...I think there are proper digi boxes ready for LCD TVs,I saw it at the ARGOS catalogue - If not I would be also surprised, but shouldn`t you ask that at the store where you got your TV from?

Sorry, the guy in the shop lied, you'll need a set-top box or Sky, it definately is NOT digital.
Have a look at this:

I don't know what Sal is looking at, but your TV is a 720P HDTV. It has a DVI input-it's digital. Specs are attached.

Digital is the signal, it has nothing to do with your tv. You are fine.

Had a quick look at the specification and I would have to say no - sorry.
