Nope! It only carries a video signal, not audio.

To get audio, your PC's sound would have to be wired to your TV, with either red/white RCA to a 3.5 mm jack connection, or if your sound card supports optical out, you could feed it to a receiver for surround sound.

Not just with the vgb cord. You'll also need an audio cord form the computers line out to the TV's line in.

You will have to get a cord that will go from your sound card to your TV or audio receiver. Mine is set up to go from my DVI slot on my video card to my HDMI slot on my tv using a HDMI to DVI cord. For sound i have a standard red and white audio cord with an adapter that plugs into my sound card going into my audio receiver. Some sound cards have optical outputs which is better, but mine does not.

VGA is Video only. You will need a cable for audio too. Depending on your PC and TV it could be 1/8" to RCA or even SPDIF (digital)
