You could worry about this all day but the bottom line is if you use it for TV/DVD watching and playing games and alternate between the two you will not see so much burn in from gaming. If you play it for two month gaming and then suddenly go watch a movie on it you will be disappointed. So play in moderation to TV/DVD watching and enjoy.

I have a 55'' plasma and I use it just as I would any other tv, including using it for the occasional X-box game. We do not play extensively, but so far, no damage, no burn-in has occurred on our tv and it's almost a year old.

Yes-despite what the manufacturers tell you, they are still subject to burn-in. They're not as bad as they once were, but it still happens. Forget the sales pitch-read their manual and warranty.
