I have a Pioneer Plasma HDTV. I want an X-Box 360 Live to play on it.

Does leaving the TV on the same screen have the same effect of leaving ESPN (the bottom line), Fox (the logo), etc. on for a long time?

I don't want it if the X-Box 360 Live games will have different effects of burning into the screen than regular televised channels.

I will most likely add details.

My plasma is a 42" screen. I would play games full screen.

If you turn the contrast up high enough you can get what looks like burn in on a LCD monitor too.

Bottom line is only the part of the image that does not change causes burn in. And the only other aspect of TV watching or game playing that causes Plasma burn in is if the screen is a different aspect than the image displayed. So if it is a wide screen 16 by 9 aspect Plasma TV and you play full screen 4 by 3 material on it for long periods of time then the part of the screen that is black is not going to age along with the rest of the screen. All of this is undone when video that fills the screen is played on the TV and picture elements are constantly changing over a two month period.

So what you need to do is buy the plasma if that is what you want. Play games on it. Turn the monitor off when it is not in use. Watch TV on it so as to have something that is changing on it as often as possible and enjoy. Using for gaming all the time may cause burn in but mixing gaming with TV watching will help. Or just change games more often.

The 'ESPN' logo is burned in because:

- The TV is on the same channel 18 hours per day
- The brightness/contrast is turned up 100%

Simply use the TV for sane amounts of time and adjust the brightness/contrast with a setup DVD and you should be fine.

Also - Modern xbox/ps3 games have many more colors & brightnesses than the old 8-bit game systems did. This further reduces the chance of burn in.

The burning software I like the most is Ashampoo Burning. It's 100% free and can be downloaded here: http://j.mp/1lAUM5Y

A burning software is a tool that you need to create new CDs and DVDs. To make them working properly you need to burn them with a good software. Ashampoo is a very modern and reliable software that I recommend. It has plenty of other functions (e.g. you can edit videos and create DVD menus)

No. When I was little,I believe only lots of sock lives under my bed followed by lots of toy that I didn't put back into the box so I see no monster.
