Does anyone know the best way to connect a Wii ti my HDTV to give the best picture? I know the Wii is not HD but the lead that came with it is just the basic yellow, white, red that goes into my componen or into a scart adaptor, then in the scart socket at the back. The Wii settings show 480i 480p and EDTV (presumably HDTV). The EDTV option is blank therefore I cant select it. I think this will give a better picture as its all a bit washy and blurry edged. What type of connector should i be using to get the best picture? I have the lastest Sony with all the inputs on my TV for you info.. I currently just have the 480p selected which i know is better than 480i..

I'd like to split the signal from one single antenna to two receiver, can I use a splitter? I saw at best buy that it seemed to be destined to be used for 2 source (antenna and cable) to go into one input slot on the receiver. Thanks for your help

Visually is there a big difference between 720 and 1080 on HD TVs? I know they are different, but can the untrained eye actually see it?

My Father has a 42" 1080 LCD and I have a 50" 720 Plasma and I can't see a difference between the 2.

I just got a 34 inch HDTV Toshiba from a friend (it does NOT have the hdmi hookups in the back, just so you know). The problem is, I have so many other electronics that have to hook up to my tv that I dont know how to connect my s-video wire from my digital box to my tv. I will not be getting HDTV until next year so I was advised by a store rep to get an s video cable to make my picture a little better for watching my tv shows. I currently have connected to my tv: a vcr, wii, a ps2, a surround sound dvd player (not hd) and my digital box. When I tried connecting the s video cable from my digital box to my tv, the image came out worse. what am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I have a samsung 1080p 40 in LCD Flat Panel TV in my living room, and I am very happy with it. I want to purchase another one for my bedroom, but I read a few articles saying that for a TV under 50in. you wont really see the difference between 720p and 1080p. So, I decided to save a few bucks, and go with a 720p TV for the bedroom. Can anyone recommend a good TV? I dont want to go over 40in.

With the feb 2009 problem with HD tv converter boxes I was wondering who will be manufacturing these boxes. Seems they will need billions of them. Maybe it would be a good time to buy stock in these companies that will be manufacturing these boxes. Anybody have any heads up on this?.

Now that I understand why so many like widescreen, I have one more question. Why, when you purchase a widescreen TV, do you still see the black bars? Why doesn't it FILL the screen since it's widescreen and made for watching widescreen?

I have no idea what a Pro Kit is and if I need one with the purchase of a 58" Plasma. It seems to be about $2000.00 more than the TV by itself. What the heck do you get for the extra 2000.00?
