How do I find out if my HD CRT TV from toshiba is 720p or 1080i? I dont want to buy a ps3 then find out it doesnt look good, as I dont have the hdmi input either. I would just use the component cables to hook it up.
Thanks

Compared to standard def - 720 will look fantastic.

Here is the issue:

An HDTV must ACCEPT all 3 types of signals: 480, 720, 1080.

So your TV is totally compatible with your PS3 at any resolution.

But - all televisions have a "Internal Resolution". It will convert all the input signals to what it likes to display.

When you go to the Toshiba website and lookup the specs - look for "Native" or "Internal" resolution to really know. Then setup the PS3 to output that type and you are gold.

Most TV's that support 720p also support 1080i.

Go to the Manufacture web site, there should be information on this.
