I'm referring to BOTH x-rays for carry-ons and for checked-in luggage (not sure if they even IS a difference between the two). By "damage" I mean that the tapes will lose the footage on them, or the cell phones won't work correctly. Thanks.

Are the actual cords for the newer compondent video special besides the fact that they are blue, green, yellow, white, and red, instead of just the 3 colors it used to be on the older tv hookups? Or are they the same cords, just with new color labels. I guess what im asking is do i need to go out and buy new cords, or can i just use an extra older style red or yellow cords to link the blue, ect... on my new hookup.

Thanks.

I have a big problem with my computer. I download songs into my computer but it does not want to play them because it says that there is no audio device installed. No sounds want to play. Not even the computer sounds. No sounds at all. The speakers are working connected properly and everything is the way it has to be but no sound. When I go to Volume Control from the START menu it tells me " There are no active mixer devices available.

I have a stainless steel digital watch with no manuafactuer name and no manual. It just says 20281KNX and C311-06 on the back. I want to set the watch. It has 4 buttons. Upper left btn = Light, Lower left btn = Mode, Upper right btn = Start and Lower right = Reset. I have tried to set this thing but can't figure it out. Right now the alarm goes off at some weird time at night and I can't find where to set or turn that off. Also, the hourly alarm is set to on and the current time is slightly off. Thanks.

I've been told 13 for each plug hole and have been using my equipment for years based on this!

The reason I ask is because you can buy 8/10 plug extension leads. From what I understand, most normal wall sockets are 13 amp. I've taken a quick look at my plugs and the majority seem to say 3 amp for things like printer, xbox, speakers/subwoofer, alarm clock, monitor. If you put all these on one extension then it totals over 13 amp.

However, I have been told that these items rarely use their full 3 amp and that is only there as a guide to show at what level the fuse will blow. In reality they will probably only use half the ampage written on the plug (so a plug that says 3 amp will only use 1.5 amp). If this is the case then I can understand 8/10 plug extensions as you could fill an 8 plug extension up with supposed 3 amp items and it would only really be (8x1.5) 12 amp in total.

I'd appreciate clarification of this, I'm the least electrically-minded person you could come across so simple language please!

I have a small Sony cd boombox that has a AM/FM radio, cassette deck and CD player. I also have a TIMEX CD/clock/radio. Both are having the same problem when I play a cd I can hear a "shadowy" or ghost-like radio station. It's not as loud as the cd music, but I can hear it distinctly and it drives me crazy. I've moved the radio frequency dial around while I play a cd to no avail. I have no idea which radio station it is either but it's always the same station, even if I move the radio channel dial. Can I take apart and dismantle the radio receiver somehow? Would ripping off the attenae work? I only really want to use the CD/clock aspect as I rarely ever listen to the radio outside the car. Thanks for your help!

If i eliminate 2aa batteries will this make it 7.2v .Please tell me if this is all possible or if it will destroy my batteries.thanks
