I bought a VHS to DVD burner (Lite-On LVC-9016G DVD + VHS Co). It burns the discs ok but they wont play in my DVD players, not even my PC one. My primary player is no more than one year old. I updated the firmware on the converter, what could be wrong? Thanks

First person to reply thanks for your answer but I clearly state it doesn't work in any player I have. Also, the burner is in fact a player as well. I have yet to find a disc that doesn't play in my DVD player or on my PC until I got this machine. I just wonder if it is burner with some different laser width or technology that is either newer or older. How would I find out.

Ok I finally got it to play on my computer using Nero but it still doesn't play on my player in the living room. Must be some incompatible laser burn or something..

1. Finalize the disk. 2. are you using DVD-rw? If so DO NOT record in DVD-VR mode. Record in DVD-video mode. 3. try a different media. If using DVD -r try DVD +r.
