I have 2 DC Adapter, will it work when I just join 2 wires together and then set 1 adapter to 12 Volt and the other is set to 3 Volt? or do you have any suggestion on how to create 15 Volt DC?
Thanks.

actually my problem is when tried to use CAT5e cable to supply power to IP camera (25 feet away)and the voltage was drop in the middle of the way. so I was told that I need to make the amps bigger(1500mA is original Adapter) to 2000mA adapter. which one is correct? should change the adapter to bigger Amp or change to bigger Volt adapter?

Thanks.

Assuming you are using two AC to DC adapters, that are using a transformer, yes it will work.

Understand that you will be limited by the DC adapter that provides the least current.

Say one provides 12V @ 1000mA, and the other 3V @ 300 mA. When you put them in series, you will have 15V, but will only be able to draw 300 mA.

If you are talking about two DC to DC adapters, it will not work.

15V adapters are easily obtainable.

Although it might work at first, I wouldn't do it that way, something is bound to burn out. You will need to get a 15 volt adapter with the correct current output.

no that will not work and not recommended o do.

better to goto local electronics outlet or radioshack to find the appropriate adapter
