I bought a home theater system that doesn't have a headphone jack, but sometimes at night when I am watching movies, it's too loud and I need to use headphones to watch. Is there some kind of converter that I can hook up to the home theater reciever to allow me to use headphones?

My mom wants to play a DVD movie on my computer but when I put the disk in, it says I need a DVD Decoder. Whats wrong? I use to watch them all the time...

I recently burned a DVD on my computer (a home video) but it would not play on my DVD player. I bought another DVD player because I thought the one I had was outdated. The new one did not play the burned DVD player either. I bought the correct type of DVD (+R).

I was told that HD dvd's would not play on a regular dvd player. But the HD upconverting dvd players upconvert regular dvd's to 1080i, or at least mine does. Why the need for HD dvd's, do they play at 1080p? What's the deal?

I have a 200watt inverter 1.7 amp, will this power a tv and a satellite receiver? We are about to get hit with an ice storm, I bought the inverter to run a laptop and dsl modem...lol, curious if it will work for a t.v. and satellite.

Does anyone have any suggestions for disposal of single-use batteries, i.e. AAA, AA, C, D & 9 Volt batteries? We used to just throw them away in our trash, but we don't want to do that anymore because of the harm they cause to the environment. Any suggestions?

I was given an Asian Sony stereo system but unfortunately all the radio frequencies are outside those of the UK, except for radio 2. Can I get someone to modify it so that it can pick them up? I have bought in the past the dab radio add on from Dixons/ Currys but the stereo doesn't have the right socket in the back for it.

My cable-ready TV suddenly stopped playing video when I switch to DVD. It played fine and then suddenly stopped. I still get sound of the DVD and have checked the cables, and they are fine. I get a picture with TV cable input but not the dvd player video.
