Should I let it air dry and get water spots, or can I dry it with a towel or paper towel?

Run it under warm water, use a couple of drops of diswashing liquid and your fingertip to clean it. Rinse under warm (not hot) water. Blot it dry with a lint-free towel or cloth.

It's best to wash it with a wet paper towel or one of those moist towelettes.

The best way to clean a disk without scratching it is to take a cotton ball and soak it with rubbing alcohol
