Nowhere. The formats are not compatible. The tape is not the same size. There is no way to make 8mm tape work in a VHS. It's not like VHS-C which is the same tape in a smaller cassette.

8mm or Hi8? No one makes 8mm anymore, and not too many people are making the Hi8. Best bet is to go on eBay and get yourself something to play them on.

Burn them to DVD if you need to keep this stuff long-term. VHS doesn't look the greatest and as an analog magnetic format, it will deteriorate.

Have not seen a 8mm to VHS adapter. Not sure if one exists. I have seen VHS-C to VHS adapters only.

I Googled on this and many sites say that there is no 8mm to VHS adapter. I have attached the links below...

Ive seen some at wal-mart They are a VHS siza tape with a fitting in the middle for the 8mm or if not check out ebay or frys

this is not possible, however you could just transfer the tapes to regular VHS cassettes. Have you tried this? http://interkeys.com/ebooks/howto/8mm_hi8_video_format.htm
