I have been through 5 iPods since they came out. They break so easily and are overall really unreliable. Plus, they're pretty pricey for me, a high school senior making minimum wage. I have been told that the Zen is better than the iPod, and I'm thinking of switching. I don't need anything flashy, it just needs to be straight forward and easy to use, and it needs to have a lot of space for all my music. But I know NOTHING about the Zen. So I have a few questions for experienced users.

1. I'm using a Mac. Is the Zen compatible with OS X/iTunes?
2. How much is the 30GB Zen (I have tons of music so I need something that can hold a lot of songs)
3. What accessories come with the Zen? How much would it be to add speakers, a connector for my car, etc.?
4. Any additional information? Personal opinions?

have an ipod video and latest itunes which is working fine, however just tried to use a shuffle with it and it isnt recognising it - tried just plugging it in without software as presumed itunes would pick it up - it didnt and now the computer isnt even picking it up as a device - have tried loading software specifically for shuffle but still nothing. have had the shuffle working in the past but removed software when we got the ipod video. would now like to use shuffle as well - any idea whats going wrong? thanks in advance

A couple of hours ago my i Pod froze completely. it doesn't respond to anyhting i do... all i tried to do was skip it on a track and it froze. I don't know if it's a corruppted file or what. How can I get it to work again. Is there anyone who knows what i should do or who i should call (don't say ghostbusters)

i had my ipod for three weeks so i took it to a fieldtrip one of mu friends was watching a video then i ran with it in my hands then it froze and i didnt know how to unfreeze it so i thought it would be a good idea if i let the battery run out so i did that and i plugged it back inside and it said please wait battery low please wait i waited for a long time then this unhappy ipod picture came up i went to the ipod site and put it in disk mode but its still thier and i plugged it to my computer it didnt show my ipod i showed the first ipod and they said it was corrupt so i pressed update but my itunes froze

I have the complete book as one whole final track, which is like 20+ hours long. I've tried to put it on a dvd data disc but when I do I cant fast forward through the file on my xbox player. I'm not sure what to do at all, or if I'm doing something right.

When I try to sync my ipod with itunes a message says "the ipod could not be updated because required files cannot be found", and another one saying, "cannot be read from or written to". I updated itunes restored my ipod and I'm still having this problem. Please help with ANY suggestions.

I copied music from my PC (through Windows multimedia player) earlier on tonight and everything was working fine, music played back ok. So i re-connected it back up to add more songs. It has a 1GB memory,there was only 120 songs on it. When i tried to listen to the second set of songs i put on, it kept coming up 'unknown format'. What does this mean? I am baffled. I put songs onto my sons MP3 and they are working fine. Can someone give me some pointers. I know how to transfer songs over so this isn't a problem to me. I've just never had any error messages to be concerned over.
