how to I do that, besides burning them to a CD?

There's a video on C|Net about getting the songs onto your own PC, off your iPod, so that might help. It's aimed at Mac users, but they mention there's a way for PC users to do it too.

Connect your iPod first. Then, go to My Computer and double click the iPod icon.
Go to Tools > Folder Options > 2nd page (view) and choose to have all file types shown.
Go back to My Computer, then click on the iPod icon again and into your music folder and send any song you want to your My Documents.

click on an mp3 file and it will automaticlly play music.
It may be under a different name but you can always rename it

Download a piece of software called iDump from the link below and share away! It works both ways so can be used to put something back on to your iPod. It works in a very simple and efficient manner. If you put a copy of the iDump.exe file on your iPod, it can be used from there. You can also give other people copies of your iDump.exe for them to use!

nope, the only way is to burn a CD from itunes, upload it to their computer on their itunes. sorry!
