she_rox is 100% correct, but you may also have to switch the hold button on & off several times. This information is also on the apple ipod help pages. I had to do this 2-3 times a week on my old iPod and have had to do it several times on my new one.

If you can't get it to reset, set the iPod on a flat and hard surface and try again. You may have to hold it for several seconds or try several times.

press where it says menu and the circle center button at the same time and hold it down until it brings up the apple symbol
this happened to me earlier today

this happened to me before well i just put it on recharge and left it there for the night and in the morning it was working fine all over again.

I suggest you call apple companies or use the interne6t at apple.com. mine did the same thing and I went there and now it works. good luck!!:)

Read the manual. You have to reboot it. It happend to mine and all I had to do was reset it.

does it still have warranty if it does send it in to the company or i think thats it its gone
