I have an M-Audio Fast Track Studio and I am trying to record some songs. When I play the song back I can only hear it on the left speaker and not the right. Is it a sound card issue or is there a settting I am overlooking?

so, which would you pick?
Just letting you know that i already have an ipod but it's a last year's 512mb(120 songs) shuffle.it still loks new and all but i want a nano cause it has games, a calendar, and most important things are a screen and waaayyyy more memory.

I just got a new laptop - I am trying to transfer my library from iTunes on my old computer and I saved the songs as data files by burning them thru iTunes which is approx 1000 songs and 7 cds worth. They show up when I put the cd in my new laptop but I am having trouble getting them to work in iTunes because when I transfer the new flder into iTunes but take the cd out, it will not play them because it says "Cannot locate the original file" or something along those lines. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I really want to be transfer this library because it's all music from my own cds that took me forever to do!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I am somewhat limited in my knowledge of computer stuff, need things spelled out for me sometimes! ;) Thanx in advance for any help!

Are they ear buds that actually go "into" ur ear , with the silicone cone, worse for your hearing then regular ear buds? They actually go in deeper then regular ear buds, my friend told me they damage your hearing more then the standard earbuds, is that true

For the past few months I've been trying to put music on my ipod nano but my computer doesnt recognize the ipod is plugged into the computer. I've tried resetting the ipod but it didn't work. I've tried different usb ports but nothing happens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything that has to do with itunes or my ipod but still nothing happens. Can anyone help me? PLEASE!!!!!!!

When the ipod begins charging the status bar is a green with a black charge symbol in the middle of it. After it has charged, my computer makes a beep noise, and then the ipod screen shows a blinking red circle with a line through it, and words which say: "do not disconnect". Why?

I ripped a whole lot of CD's onto the MP3 player and computer is now gone (and CD's are back home in Australia)....I have the MP3 player happily continuing to play songs but would like to find a way to return them to a computer, disc, whatever to ensure they are not lost. Is there any software that might help access and record the songs on actual player.

I have no problem paying for movies for my ipod, but itunes has a pretty crappy selection. I also don't like the idea of registering on a site before actually being able to see their library first. i was wondering if the only way to charge your ipod shuffle (2 gen) is to hook it up to your computer. and i also need to know does it cost you everytime you download a song from itunes, or is it free if you have an ipod because on the apple website it says the DOWNLOAD is free but it costs you 99 cents per song...so does this apply to the new shuffle users aswell?
