SanDisk Sansa e250 costs around $100-$110. It is 2GB which means it hold around 500 songs. It shows photos and has video playback. It has a nice vibrant screen, and it also has a voice recorder. There is an FM tuner from which you can listen to the radio or even record from. It has a MicroSD slot so you can expand the memory at any given time. It has a nice sleek design and has the same dimensions as the iPod Nano except for the thickness which it is thicker. Extremely easy to use!

Flash based players with anywhere from 128MB to 2GB are relatively cheap and come from a lot of manufacturers. If you have a big retail chain store near you, they will most likely have a large selection and you can pick the one that you like. Also you can go on sites like newegg.com and the pricing will usually be better but you can't hold it or look at it like in a store.

In my opinion, I think Creative is a good brand with an acceptable price for low budget. It costs around 100 Dollars.

Ebay has alot of good deals and I like iPods ... they are not exactly cheap but they are good ... also the Zunes and anything from samsung are good. samsung is probally the cheapest but u will not recive the best MP3 ... like I said iPods are great ... if i were u i would get an iPod
