I think it is because your music files are WMA files. You got to convert them to MP3 files. You just got to download a program off the internet. here's a link, that or search for one on google. I have one in my computer right now, so here's a link to what I got:

i concur i have a mp3 play not an ipod and you have to go in to a menu and go to the folder where the file is stored because u can only hold a specific amount of storage in the main "folder" (dunno if thats the right word, think of the main "folder" on mp3 player like a cd you can only have so many minutes on a cd same with the main folder. So i would creat a folder and store your files in there. So... if you synced your music the right way whether its using windows itself or a program like winamp or windows media player it should work properly. if your having problems syncing your music or u didn't sync it then thats your problem there and if u need help with that let me know

Some models have various folders for video, movies, textfiles, etc. Maybe you have to put them in the right place, and not just in the root folder?
