Are they ear buds that actually go "into" ur ear , with the silicone cone, worse for your hearing then regular ear buds? They actually go in deeper then regular ear buds, my friend told me they damage your hearing more then the standard earbuds, is that true

I dont think it is true- your friend may be just making up stuff and spreading a rumor like everyone does. Dont believe everything you hear. Think of it this way- do you think companies that make those head phones want to damage your hearing? no- they could get sued for that easily. they want to satisfy their customers so that they'll buy more of their stuff and other people will buy their headphones too when people see you with them. they're not out to get you. i'm pretty sure that as long as you dont completely blast your music then your hearing will be fine.

oh and for the guy right above my message- if the ear needs so much air then why did my doctor tell me when i was little to put in this squishy play-dough like stuff tightly in my ear every time i went swimming (i had an infection in my inner ear and coudnt get water in it). my ear had no air then and everything was fine. i dont think that a doctor would try to make things worse for you. I think that it would only be bad if your ear didn't have air for a long period of time, like going days that way.

Hope I helped!

Yes.. Not just because they are loud if you have the volume up.. But ALSO because the ear needs air and if you wear them alot then you have a tendancy to increase infections...

Unfortunately it is true, and that stinks, I kow. Save up and get Bose noisereducing earphones. You will look back at earbuds and laugh.

i think that it depends on how loud the music is and if you put it in too far it will hurt your ear.
