I have had a really tough time doing this. But, make sure you "authorize" your computer. I had to go to my other computer, that held ALL of my songs, that I bought from iTunes, burn them onto a disk then import them into iTunes. It was a pain in the butt!!!!! I had to then rename all of them because they were just track 1 track 2 and so on. I don't think you should have an issue with the deleting part though.

I think all these people misunderstood what you want to explain...you want to move the songs FROM your iPod TO your library...NOT FROM your library TO your iPod...So to answer your question lol...I've also been wondering how to do this and from what I've heard it's possible but very difficult...But I don't know how to do it...SORRY!! :(

most people dont notice this but just go to itunes.com and download the latest version, it gets you hte latest itunes and keeps all your songs in it, just moves all your files(songs) to another part of the computer and removes the old itunes, gets you the new version, and moves all the songs back

it doesn't matter what version software you have. when you plug in your ipod, just go right to the edit, preferences, and click the ipod tab. choose "manually update". and click ok.
to transfer songs from your ipod to pc, download idump. it's FREE!
