That depends on the bit rate used and the duration in seconds. The typical MP3 is 4 MB which means you'll get approximately 50-65 songs on that size chip.

Not many songs will fit on that. 1 gigabyte=1024 megabytes. I do know that the 2g iPods hold 1,000 songs and that the 1g holds roughly 350-400 songs.

Google calculator is awesome for this kind of thing. Search "256MB / 128kbps / 3 minutes" in google and it tells you: 91 (songs).

it depends on the kind of songs you're gonna download. you can save approxim8ly around 70 to 100 songs for original sized songs and if compressed, u can save twice of it or even more.

around 4-6 mb to a song, most songs are around (not over)5 mb, do the maths
