I had an iPod, but it is crap. I tried to get it fixed, but apple customer service is crap. Therefore I am looking for something different and wondering if the Creative Zen Vision: M is the best thing out there.

I have an iriver mp3 (model 790) with 256 mb capacity. I'd like to know approx how many songs it holds, and how to see what they are. I may have to delete some if I'm maxed out.

I previously owned a Creative Zen Micro which was great until the earphone socket became faulty. I need to buy a new MP3 Player and I've read that a flash player is better for gym / jogging as it has no moving parts. I'm looking for about 3GB for around £100. Any suggestions?

Or if you know how much it would cost to get the earphone line out fixed or soldered, it may be a better option than buying a whole new player!

Cheers!

I just downloaded a bunch of stuff and itunes says that these files can't be played on the ipod. i think they were avi. i'm a little hazy on the new file types. i've come across m4v, m4a, mp4, mpeg4, avi, wma, wmv. I've cognized them into mp3, mp4 =? m4 (video, audio), windows media (video, audio).
ok so i do have another question that an answerer of the former might be able to answer. Can you explain the process of taking a DVD that you buy, and getting it to play on an ipod video.
Thanks,

I have plugged my iPod into several different stereos and boom-boxes and the sound volume is much lower than radio, CD player, or other components.

I turn the volume all the way up on the stereo receiver or boom-box, and still the sound volume is low. This is consistent across all songs on the iPod.

Any suggestions for how can I fix this, and play an iPod through a stereo at loud volume?

I had some songs for a school project due tomorrow, and I have them all on iTunes. I just realized I'm out of writable CD's. What can I do to get the songs to school? I might be able to get a blank CD there.
