NO... dont get it engraved unless they do it for you. It voids thee warrenty and if it does f**k up (which it probably will!...) then you cant do anything about it!

Definetely you can return it! Remember that you (as a buyer) have a warranty against defects, it doesn't matter if you made a special engravement on it. In the other hand, is apple!!! they won't offer you a free engravement and tell you that you can't return it if it has defects. Hope this helps! Best Regards, Carlos

if you engrave it through apple, which they offer for free with new purchases then they would have to replace it for you so do that.
dont get anyone else to engrave it because if it does break then its more hassle for you.

hopefully it would be ok,
i have just ordered one from apple for my son and they engraved it for me so i really can't see that they can say the guarantee wouldn't be valid if they do engraving .

they might accept it if it hasn't been damages internally i don't know i sent my ipod in to be replaced and it was scratched to bits but you will receive a new one not the one you have so you will have to get it engraved again

Absolutely,
It is still under warranty especially if they do the engraving.

if its faulty, they will rpelace it because the fault isnt caused by the engravement - and generally, they repair rather than replace....

no you wont be able to return it because it has be damaged intentionally and there is no fault with the equipment companys only tend to refund items when there is a manufacturers fault.
