How to transfer files from audio cassette to CD?

What is the software to be used for transferring files stored in audio cassettes to CD? From where can we download that software free?

The section explaining how to use Audacity is not yet complete, but the set-up/connection of the components is nicely illustrated

that is totally ordinary... you should have an audio enter on your laptop,it really is mostly next to the position the position you connect you audio device to on the computer you should have this style of cable that has a headphone jack on each and each and every area... and also you should have a cassette participant. connect the cassette participant to the laptop with the headphone jack cable,n then receive a software said as audacity from sourceforge. google for it then open quantity controls (double click on the quantity icon contained in the taskbar) click thoughts==>residences then examine the "line" uncheck the mute n develop to finish quantity. decrease back to vanity. click on list n then play on the audio on ur cassette participant. keep with mp3 extension.
