Apple only have not got the know-how in the music feild that Sony do. Sony invented the 1st Cassette Walkman (TPS-L2) in 1979. They co-invented CD in 1980. They invented the 1st CD walkman (DM-50) IN 1985. They Co-invented DVD in 1997. Judging by utilising their effectual music checklist, i will think of their Walkmans ought to conquer an iPod any day. i have an ipod and i love it to death. you can do so much more with an ipod than a walkman so if your willing to pay more money then it is def worth it. Now if your just wanting to listen to music when u run i would say get an ipod nano cause they are small and the battery will last you twice as long as the walkman

Research both before you buy. I think iPod can only use iTunes to load music on the iPod. I'm not sure about the walkman.I recommend the PSP. It's a little bigger but much more versatile. It's also internet accesible and can play videos, movies ans Mp3's.

Neither. You are paying for the name. The iPod will lock you in to the Apple way of doing things.
As for me, I went independent with my mp3 player. It uses SD cards and is SMALL. Add Rechargable AAA cells and you have spent $50.
