I'm looking for Canon models at or around this price range - $800. Is this model considerably better and worth the money than the XT EOS 350D's? Any advice for an amateur?

I would like to use some selfmade frames on my Pentax Optio M20.
But always when I try to use them it tells me that it can't read the Picture.I've even tried to make the Frames similar to the Original(size and colors) but it still doesn't work.What should I do?Is there any programm that I need to use to make the frames readable for the Camera?

I'm on a budget but photography is a big passion of mine. I would like the highest quality digital camera (size doesn't matter, it could could be pocket-sized or average, as long as the picture quality is good) within the price range of 350 and under. I'd be eternally grateful if you guys helped me out.

the two cameras that I am looking at are the hp photo smart 6 mega pixel M527 .The other one is from Sony its the cyber-shot 6 mega pixel DSC S500 I would like to know with one I should get and why. Or any review on either of the cameras

I went to pay a phone bill in my lunch break and came back with a digital camera. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, although I was in the market for one.

I got a Panasonic Lumix FX3. My specifications were: compact, easy to use, middle range, quality lens, not overburdened with technical features I'm never going to use.

Does anyone have or know these cameras and have I made a decent choice. I'm not a prolific photographer, just want it for holiday, family snaps, etc. I don't know much about digital cameras and put my trust in the salesperson.

I will have batteries in my digital camera and 3 days later they will die! I even have rechargable batteries and they died 2 days after I got them! Why is this happening, how can I stop it, and what batteries DON'T suck?

I have a Minolta Maxxum 7000 SLR that I've had since they first came out and I love it. Most of the time when people show me the "great" pix their new digital took I think they are terrible! I do need to learn digital though. Help! -. I use the 70-210mm lens alot, so I need more than 3X optical, I take pix of dogs, horses and my son, so I need quick focusing, as little shuter lag as possible, and short time between shots to capture the right expression when I see it. Image stabilization is a must! I want SHARP clear pictures. I want to see every whisker on that dog! I thought about a Canon S3 IS, but then I thought maybe I should just get an entry level digital SLR (hope to use the Maxxum lenses I've got) until I read an article about the dust on the sensors. Animals and kids love dust - my camera would be full of dust. I saw CES report - Kodak 10MP for $250, not right camera for me, but it seems like digital is getting better for less. So - now or later? Which camera to learn with?

I know about shutters and apertures. I also know that f/2.8 is an f-stop number. But it is unclear what this indicates. Is it the best aperture to shoot at ? Or is it the lowest f- stop number ? Or is it something else ?
