I went to pay a phone bill in my lunch break and came back with a digital camera. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, although I was in the market for one.

I got a Panasonic Lumix FX3. My specifications were: compact, easy to use, middle range, quality lens, not overburdened with technical features I'm never going to use.

Does anyone have or know these cameras and have I made a decent choice. I'm not a prolific photographer, just want it for holiday, family snaps, etc. I don't know much about digital cameras and put my trust in the salesperson.

Cheers

Hi

I don't have this camera but I know from a friend's experience that the latest Lumix models are very nice piece of technology.

If you're a novice or an amateur user who wants to do simple works (like holiday photos) it's perfect and easy to learn.

Good luck.

Yeah you did OK, it's a name brand with a good reputation. It obviously isn't the most expensive model out there, but you are not likely to be disappointed. Optical image stabilization is a plus.

Every camera is different for each individual. If you'd like to know the pros and cons of yours, just check out www.cnet.com and type in the camera's name in the review section. CNET was very helpful for me when I decided to purchase my Canon Powershot A710.

I guess it's a good camera. Since it has awesome image quality, just stick with it.

If you're happy with it, and it works, it's a good camera.
