These cameras use standard A/V jacks as far as I can tell. An exact picture would depend on your model TV or VCR. You should have plugs on your VCR, many are on the front these days. They are often coloured Yellow and White, or Yellow White and Red. They would be labeled INPUT. The camera will likely only have a yellow lead, or if it has audio too there will be an white lead as well. If your TV/VCR has a red jack as well, just leave it empty. Yellow goes to Yellow, White goes to White. Turn on your VCR and select the INPUT. Sometimes if you go to your lowest TV channel and then press the channel down button, this will go through the inputs. If not, look for a button that says, TV/VIDEO or INPUT. This goes for a TV as well. Locate the INPUT (not output) jacks, match yellow to yellow (for video) and white to white (for audio).

In and Out on the back of a VCR:

If you look close, you can see the IN label above the left set of connections. The bottom jack is yellow but the picture is washed out. In this case, you'd use the jack in the bottom left and the one directly above it, the yellow and the white under IN.

Here's an example of A/V jacks on the front of a VCR with RCA cables already plugged into it:

In your case, unless your camera is in stereo, the red jack will be empty.

This TV has its inputs on the side:

Again, you're only using the Yellow and White. This picture you can see a bit more clearly that they're marked Audio Left and Video Input.

Homeland. Sounds like a brand they give away when you buy a scanner. Some digital cameras, even by big name brands, don't have A/V outputs to hook to a TV or VCR. If the camera has A/V outputs, there will be a cable included with a three ring 1/8" plug (looks like a stereo earphone plug) on one end and two RCA plugs on the other that will plug into a VCR. If it didn't come with this cable it's a sure sign that it doesn't have this capability.
If it does have this cable then you hook it to the VCR where it's marked VIDEO IN and AUDIO IN. To see and hear you turn the camera on, set the VCR input to AUX IN or AV IN. This varies with different VCRs, usually there is a button on the remote marked INPUT. Sometimes you just change the channel to below channel 2 and you will get to it. If your TV has input jacks it works in a similar way.
