If you mean the G7, I would say that is a better camera, although I guess it depends on what you are really looking for. If you want a camera you can stick in your shirt pocket, then the 900 is "better."

If you want more features and more control, the G7 is better.
- The lens goes to 210 mm (equiv) instead of only 111 mm.
- The G7 has image stablilization, although this is probably not needed so much with the maximum zoom of 111 mm.
- The G7 allows manual focus.
- The G7 will focus as close as 1 cm instead of only 5 cm.
- The G7 accepts an external flash on the hot shoe.
- The G7 allows both shutter priority and aperture priority while the 900 does not allow either one.

Read the specs and decide. I'm assuming the G7 is what you are talking about... It may be called a G70 overseas. The Ixus 900ti is the same as an SD900 in the U.S.

Nobody can say which one is better in terms of your own priorities. The G7 is more versatile, and gives you more manual controls, has a closer telephoto, and . But the SD900si is more compact.
