Which version of xp should I buy, the full version or the upgrade with service pack 2 version so that I can install my mp3 player software and driver for my player? The upgrade version has explorer and that but I want to keep all of my other stuff I have. How easy is it to install xp?

I am a beginner to digital photography and have gained a half decent grasp of many of the important concepts ie. white balane, shutter speeds, f values etc but I am not quite sure how toi meter light.

I understand the concept of metering light but I am not sure how to do it.

Do I simply point the camera at the area where I want to meter from or do I have to press the shutter or something else.

I know that i have to half press the shutter to focus, I am just not quite sure at what point the metering comes in to the equation.

Hi,

I've been considering taking the plunge into the LCD or plasma TV market, but don't have cable, satellite, etc. and have basically gone with broadcast network stations in my area. In addition, the reception I currently have on my 32" CRT is fairly poor anyway, even with a set of rabbit ears for antenna.

I don't anticipate adding cable, satellite, etc. to the budget anytime soon. Because of the questionable reception already received, is it really worth spending the dough to upgrade the monitor?

i want to be able to watch SKy movies and use the home theatre system, which I cannot do through the DVD player. The system consists of a Subwoofer and 5 satellite speakers and I need to know if I have to buy an amplifier or is there a way to connect the sub woofer to the TV( a Phillips 32 " Matchline flat screen). Although the Tv has audio outputs and a sub woofer socket, the subwoofer itself has only the following inputs, coloured red and white.
FR, FL, CR, Cl, SR and SL.
Hope someone can help.

I want to get a DVR like Tivo but do not want to pay any monthly fees. The unit doesn't have to have show titles and times. All it needs is for me to specify a time and channel and record that show. I don't want some hacked up home made box, computer, or anything illegal. In a nut shell, it should work just like a VCR except records to hard drive and not to any tapes. If it did have a DVD-R or VCR included in the box, that would be ok.

I looked everywere cannot believe that such a simple box doesn't exist for the North American market?

Have set everything up on my PC using the CD & data cable etc..My phone is recognised, managed to back up contacts and stuff. When I try to transfer files from PC to phone, it starts the transfer then cancels itself. Phone is not full, files are ordinary MP3's. Any ideas?
