This allows you to hook up the iPod through your home outlets:

You have to have the Universal Dock (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=DFC7D8BF&nplm=MA045G%2FB) to use the above feature..

This kit includes both: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=19333F33&nplm=MA242LL%2FB

For the car, there's a few options: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=567F5736&nclm=iPodCarAudio

The accesory your are describing is an FM transmitter for the ipod that connects to the bottom of your ipod and broadcasts your ipod music to any fm frequency of your choice. These transmitters come with chargers, or at least mine did. I have a belkin transmitter its black small and it displays the frequency through my ipod And you can save a frequency or four. You can get one from at least 10-100 dollars, It depends on how flashy or how good the reception is. I got a 40 dollar transmitter and it works great, Good Luck

whats up in case you go onto ebay you may get transmitters with chargers for like 15€, attempt to get one that suits quickly into the ipod ( on the backside) fairly than one that is going into the ear telephone jack. I have been given one a whilst lower back and it truly is surprising, use it all the time interior the vehicle. you may get a Griffin transmitter on ebay too for prob around 30€ yet those ones paintings in simple terms as solid, save around anyhow!
