Bluetooth only works with Bluetooth compatible phones. It doesn't cost to use it, but you do have to pay for the Bluetooth equipment; headphone, charger, etc. If you have a Bluetooth phone, you go to the Bluetooth menu and pair the Bluetooth with your phone (instructions are included with the Bluetooth headphone).

It should be free I know it is with Verizon wireless. But you find your bluetooth option on your phone and turn it on. Now if you have a bluetooth car then you have to read how to set it up. Then there is the headset that you can talk hands free with. I don't know how to do that. I only use bluetooth for my car.

It is a wireless link between electronic devices. It costs no more than the original use of the device fee. For instance, if you use a Bluetooth earpiece you pay for phone useage but not for the Bluetooth connection. It is just a wireless connection. Think of it as a walkie talkie between electronics.

There is no cost to use blue-tooth other than the cost of the blue-tooth device. You can connect one blue-tooth device to any other blue-tooth device. An example is with blue-tooth capable cel phones. You sync up your bluetooth ear piece to your cel phone and start using it. No wires, .... Each blue tooth device comes with instructions and it's not hard to do.
