I have a JVC digital video camera (model GR-D60EK). It is about 2 years old and is not used often.

I went to use it last weekend and when I tried to record it kept asking me to take off the lens cap - which was already off! All you could see was a black screen with a few signs on it..

It plays back the tapes absolutely fine, just has this problem with seeing through it's lens..

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem?

There is a Paging Channel in GSM, when you call a mobile there is a String content sent to the called Party via the Paging Channel from the Service Provider.
The String contents are usually sent and controlled by the Sevice Providers.

1. We want to know what are the contents of that string of different Service Providers.

2. We want to modify the String to add our custom parameters and what will be the possible outcome of the same. Thank you all.

I have just bought a new 42" LG LCD HDTV. You can read the specifications of my tv on this webpage.

But like most I've read, the screen was terribly pixelated. Unfortunately, my country, Singapore's cable tv is still not ready with their HD version of cable box.

But is there a way to temporarily view my tv with better quality? I've read that HDMI cable would work better with the normal RCA ones. Is that right? Though the back of my tv has got a DIV/HDMI input port, but the rest of my devices only has those normal RCA/S-Video/Components outputs. Is there a way round this?

My next question goes about HD DVD Players. Considering my LCD tv is still pixelated, will a HD DVD Player give smooth high quality video when viewing normal dvd/vcd discs? Or will it only play high quality video for only HD dvd discs?

I was just thinking about buying ps3 next week, but today i went to a friend's house and he told me that a lot of people have had problems with their PS3s and that they returned them back to the store....................he said that the problem was in some kind of a "chip" (or whatever it's called) inside the ps3 console that made "gliches" so people returned them........He also said that it'll be fixed but later, so here are my questions!

1. Do you think this is true ?
2. If it's true how long should I wait until i get my PS3?
3. SHould i buy X-BOX 360 instead?
