1. I'm sure that there are some problems, but I think a lot of what you see or read on the forums are posted by Wii and 360 fanboys. I mean, last year, a lot of the complaints were mostly written by Sony & Nintendo fanboys. So far, I've heard of disks melting inside the PS3. I don't think the PS3 can get that high of a temperature to melt a PS3. PS3 exploding. How come it's not on the news?
2. If you want a bug free PS3, it's going to take at least 1 year or so. If you're waiting for a price drop, it's going to be at least 2 or 3 years unless the PS3 sells miserably (which I doubt since there are still way too many fanboys who will continue to support Sony) or Blu-ray technology gets really cheap (which I don't think will happen anytime soon because Blu-ray is relative new, and it takes a while for new technology to drop.).
3. It's up to you. If you think you'll get more fun out of the 360, then go ahead and buy it. If you don' think you're going to have a lot of fun out of it, then don't get it.
Just to clear up some things from other posters: The PS3 will have the better graphics. Right now, if you compare the latest 360 games vs the latest PS3 games, they look similar, but the latest 360 games are 2nd generation, while PS3 games are first generation. Compare the 1st generation games, and you will see that PS3 games look much better.
It's going to take a really long time before you can see a 150 dollar PS3. The PS2's starting price was only 299.99, and it took almost 5 years before it dropped to 129.99, while the PS3's starting price is 599.99. Huge difference.
The 360's price is only cheaper if you compare the prices out of the box, but if you upgrade the 360 to what the PS3 can do, it's a lot more expensive. HD-DVD player: 199.99. So, that makes the premium 360 about 600, same as the PS3. Add in the MS 360 wireless adapter (another 99.99), that would make the 360 more expensive than the PS3. PS3 has built in wireless capabilities. PS3 also have slots for Memory Stick, SD, etc. So, overall, the PS3 is cheaper. Only difference between the PS3 and 360 is that Sony is forcing consumers to use the Blu-ray technology for gaming, while MS gives consumers the option to use HD-DVD to watch movies.

1. With any new technology it is bound to have glitches.
2. Wait at least a year so that Sony can work out of the glitches and you laso have better game sto choose from. The price may also be cheaper than it is now.
3. Yes, graphically speaking the xbox 360 is just as good as the PS3, it's also cheaper, plentiful to be found, Xbox live is fun and it has lot of killer games.

Of course it's going to have some bugs.
The XBOX 360 will too. That's the double-
edged sword of the latest technology when
it first becomes available to the public.
