We live in the mtns. and have bats living in the attic. Bats are a protected species in California -- YIKES!!!. How can we get rid of them easily. We are looking for a sound-wave devise that they may not like or something else. HELP....and suggestions would be appreciated.

My mp3 player just died and best buy gave me a creative vision m in replacement under my warranty. Which was kind of them- but I hate the Creative vision M. It's hard to operate and it won't let me organize my music by filename, but rather only by metatag.

My only other option is an ipod, because that's the only other one they carry that's similar in price to my old player and therefore eligible under my warranty, etc. But I've never used one and in fact I've always avoided them. As such I've got a couple of questions:

DO ipods read filenames, or just metatags?

Also do you HAVE to use itunes, or can I use some other software? Also do you NEED software? My old player just showed up as a new drive when I plugged it in- I don't suppose that will be the case with ipod?

Many thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide. I'm really not sure which way to go with this thing, so I thought I'd try to get a little more info.

Man I miss my old player... :(

I know that the higher the frequency response the better but how much freq response do I need if I only want to record voices? Would a freq response of 100Hz-11KHz good enough for voices? What is the normal freq range of voices, like what frequencies does voice usually produce? Freq response on a speaker is how well it reproduce the sound but what is the freq reponse on a microphone? A microphone does not produce sound so what would the freq response represent in a mic, shouldn't the freq response on the speaker matter only?
