How many computers can i install this software without calling microsoft .Exept activating.How do i deactivate this.

I am trying to install a 320GB harddrive in my new PC. unfortunetly the win xp cd that i have is the original xp (pre sp1) and it is restricting my hd to 137GB. i have updated the OS with SP2 and with all of the other critical and non-critical updates but still cant get OS to recognize the HD. My mobo recognises the drive so there is no issue with the BIOS. i tried to modify the registry by adding EnableBigLba to the parameter section and still no luck, unless i was adding it to the wrong section. i will greatly appreciate any feedback from the PC gurus here. Thank you all in advance.

What is the registry part of the computer and does it ever need fixing and how do you go about fixing it? Do you need to take it somewhere to have it fixed or is it a do it yourself project? What is it's function?

and I'm trying tp put tpgeyher a slide show with background music. Another friend, living, sent me a s;ide show with good photos of the diceased, but I simply have to delete, some, or add the good ones, as the whole slide show is ina ppropite. The slide show(s) are on WEBSHOT.com. and I would like to get this ASAP. Any help, please? j

i'm trying to fix my uncle's old sony vaio desktop. It's model number PCV-90. Anyway, sony only helped me once, but no more. The problem is I need to download the driver for the CD ROM (D drive), b/c the computer is no longer recognizing it. Also, I need to download the driver for USB b/c the computer isn't picking up on it, when i plug something USB in one of the ports. these are the only two problems....can someone tell me if this website even contains these drivers, does the BIOS update help me reinstall these missing components?

I am using Word to try and make a sign. I need the text in white and am using blue coloured paper. I thought that by putting the txt colour to white then it would print out white on the paper. However it instead comes out like a blank page !! So how do I write in white ?

I have an iMac running 10.3.9, with an 80gb drive and 17gb space remaining. My wife has an AOL account. We have a cable modem connection. The AOL software is AOL 10.3.7.

She says she keeps 1) getting bounced off & 2) in mid-session, while answering an e-mail or whatever, the AOL version of the spinning beach ball (a grey one) turns up and spins and spins. Essentially, the program constantly freezes. And she says some artwork either never loads or half-loads. She often gets a message saying: "Your AOL session has ended because the AOL host was unable to start a new session. Please try to sign on again." She has never had a problem-free session and rages at our Mac (understandably). At her job, on her PC, she never has these problems. I do not use AOL myself, and know nothing.

Is this normal?
Is there anything I can do to change this?
Are there any setting I can tweak?
It has been a problem since we initially got the Mac, even though I have upgraded the AOL software as needed.

I have 3 queries -
(a) In Internet Explorer, just typing the site name in the Address Bar is enough but sometimes, we have to compulsorily prefix WWW. Why?
(b) I saw an e-mail with From and To (i.e. sender and receiver) fields having the same name in my friend's pc. To (receiver) should have my friend's email address. How it is possible that Sender and Receiver are the same but it is received by another Receiver.
(c) Our Office is having internet under LAN. In a recent survey, it was observed that some users were logging anonymously (i.e. without using their authorised User ID). I am perplex as to how one can log anonymously under LAN environment where a strict watch is observed. Pl. help.

I find if so time consuming to go to the brush panel everytime I want to resize a brush in photoshop using my MAC. I think if I remember correctly there was a short cut key for this. Thanks.

I have programs on my desktop and quick launch as most people do & at one point they all showed their pictures or logo for their icons. Now the picture/logos for "my computer", internet explorer and some of my other programs are now replaced by the basic or generic folder icon picture. i haven't moved any files around my computer for the shortcuts not to have the correct picture so what is causing them to disappear?
