Slipstreamed Windows XP CD Using SP2

Whenever a new version of a service pack for XP is released I always run it through the slipstreaming procedure to see if everything works as expected. Service Pack 2 (SP2) is the latest release so it was time for another round of testing. For those of you that have a copy of SP2 and want to give it a try the procedure I used is presented below. I experienced absolutely no problems with the procedure based on an original Gold Edition XP Professional CD. The slipstreamed CD booted and installed perfectly to a freshly formatted hard drive.

It depends on the kind of license you have bought with it. If it is a single user license or a multi user license. If you have got a multi-user license then you can legally install it only on the number of licenses you have purchased. However it does not mean that the installation will not happen on a PC if you exceed the limit. But you could run into potential problems if Microsoft detects it.

The service pack software can be installed in any number of PCs, only the Windows OS is limited to "one PC, one License".

i'm going to easily answer your questions first: a million) confident, there are. i've got for my section examined it. additionally, while you're a gamer, you have have been given much extra issues as there are some conflicts between the updates and a few video enjoying cards. they could have been fastened via drivers via now, yet I nevertheless does no longer advise it. 2) "SP3 includes all till now released homestead windows XP updates, alongside with secure practices updates, hotfixes, and choose out-of-band releases." So confident, SP3 is unquestionably extra appropriate than SP2 whilst it involves secure practices. even nonetheless there are some updates that are fairly good in terms of secure practices, you won't be able to easily place self belief in homestead windows for that count number. 3) There could be. For some human beings it fairly works extra appropriate, for some, it does not. i for my section concept it became precisely the comparable, the only difference being that I had some problems with it. 4) Bullcrap. you may continuously get the service %. for IT experts. you do no longer could be a great shot programmer to discover use for it. purely get that, continuously, regardless of in case you be certain to apply SP 3. The lesser version lacks an incredible style of issues. All in all, in case you do no longer make plans to apply the laptop non-give up and for all form of crap, like me, you may get SP3. yet you may discover some video games to no longer artwork anymore, or you may come for the time of a few surprising stuff. they say it fairly is properly worth it, I say it is not. i like to maintain it easy. while you're no longer happy with SP2, you may attempt it out, yet I doubt it.
