Ok so i bought a macbook pro a while ago and i wanted to get MSN since it's the only way i can talk to my cousins in Europe. But the thing is everytime i try to log on it says that there's a problem with the server or somehting and to try later. I tried later and even uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but it still didn't work. Then i created another user account on my computer, and it worked on that account. But i don't want to have to go to my guest account just to use MSN because all of my things are in the administrator account.
Is there anything i can do about this? Is there a way i can fix the MSN messenger to work on my administrator account? thank you.

I'm studying Java. and im not in college yet. I wanna create a program for teens, I see these kids on myspace and it got me thinking that i should make a program, just like myspace, it's gunna be a chatroom, instant messaging, profiles and blogs, and those profiles will determine if that person has myspace. You can look at myspace profiles without connecting to the internet.
This Software should also come with a P2P file sharing software like Kazaa and Limewire. Where they can download music and feature length movies free. Dial-up users will download all this stuff fast with no problems at all.

But, I think teens are expected to know the guidelines of internet safety, and I will not take responsibility if that child gets abducted and killed. and the age limit should be 14, it's the law.

What do you guys think? What are your suggestions? Is this program even possible to make with Java?

Also please star this question! I need alot of ideas!

Today, I transferred photos on my cell to a memory card. It worked successfully. Then I put the memory card into my computer, and I could see the pictures. I accidentally deleted all of the pictures when I was on the computer, but when I went to the recycling bin they weren't there! How can I recover my pictures? They aren't on my cell anymore, and I can't find them on my computer!

All of your help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Here's the prob, i use windows dvd maker. i add the divx movie file which is already 16:9 aspect ratio. i put settings in dvd maker as 16:9 and format pal. but when the movie has burnt off and played it is not in widescreen. but it is squished together, leaving a broad band to the left and right affecting picture quality instead of a broad black band above and below the picture as in standard widescreen movies

I have downloaded some music files from " http://www.muchmusic.net/top_1000_songs_of_last_30_years_mp3_download?from=100&comments_per_page=50" and the guy who put them there said " After downloading, rename the files' extension "jpg" to "mp3".

The problem is how can i do this? As i tried everything i could think of. or maybe there is no way to do this? Thx

I am wanting to install parallels on my MacBookPro and since you need a real Windows OS cd, I was wondering if I would be able to use the OS cd that came with my old Dell or HP? They are real OS cds and not copies, but they came with a Dell/HP computer. Would this work? Or will I have to go out and buy a Windows OS CD from Microsoft?

Google and yahoo are fairly useless these days for more and more searches :
I am in search of either free(ware) or open source software that can function as a chalkboard, a blackboard, and/or a whiteboard.

[seems like blackboard inc has a ridiculous patent that has curbed a lot of development in this area]

MS sharepoint and a lot of commercial groupware would be too expensive to deploy in low-budget school systems on the scale i'm desiring and for the most part have too many features that are not needed

what is mostly needed is the ability to group sketch/edit and thus collaborate from near or far on the board :)

whiteboard meeting comes close but the fact it requires skype eliminates it from contention

also some of the IM apps out there have some decent interactive sketching ability but afaik they only allow 2 people in a direct IM conversation to see and sketch the same image not a larger group of say 4 or 5 individuals

so any more suggestions?

Can you install windows 2000 on more than one system? With windows xp genuine, one can not do this because of the activation process. I've tried some linux OS"s but it is not compatible with all of my hardware. I also tried booting linux on some of my older systems and it would not boot up. I'm trying to find some ways around this. Thanks!

i decrypted a copyrighted dvd for back up (using DVD ENCRYPTER), and now i have about 30+ ifo, bup, vob files... but they arent typical mpg.001, mpg.002, instead they are
vts_01_0.bup
vts_02_0.ifo
vts_03_0.vob
what do i do with them? do i just drag the folder directly to a dvd... how would i convert them into mp.4 format? im really not sure where to go from there.

... copy a dvd onto my computer so i then can whach it on my computer. i do not want a program that will allow me to just copy the dvd, but a program that will allow me to have tenacious d, the movie i want on my computer, on my computer.
