Can you install windows 2000 on more than one system? With windows xp genuine, one can not do this because of the activation process. I've tried some linux OS"s but it is not compatible with all of my hardware. I also tried booting linux on some of my older systems and it would not boot up. I'm trying to find some ways around this. Thanks!

While Win2k doesn't have an activation like WinXP, it DOES now use Windows Genuine Advantage to verify the CDKey or whatever the heck it is that it does.

Edit:
Of course, that is only if you download the windows update requiring that.

But what Linux kernel are u installing if it is 2.4.x, avoid installing or using this kernel version 'coz alot of hardware is not working with this kernel... Try installing a Linux distro with 2.6.x kernel, such as Fedora, Mandriva 2007 and Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.

No it doesn't. It just requires a CD KEY to load.
