Can I re-load my operating system without having the disc.
I have XP Media Centre Edition version 2002

Well one version of a reinstall for lack of a better term is to use system restore. This doesn't require any disks and can take you back to the original state of your OS. However, if your system is infected you may want to reconsider as some viruses copy themselves to your restore points.

Not usually, however, some systems come loaded with a restore option where you can restore your pc to factory xp. Also, you can set this up as well but if you haven't previously then chances are you will be unable to.

well some pc have hidden on the hardrive a copy of the os that can be got by doing a systems restore or using command functions when your pc starts up. Only certain pc have this...my old packard bell had it..but when your hard drive packs in its of no use.You may need to go out and buy it again....

You cannot re-load xp without the cd. You will need restore cd's or an original xp cd. The files on your computer are incomplete ... only the .cabs.. sorry

Just go to system tools, system recovery and then choose the destructive otion to reformat your computer.

if you do not have the disc, what might work is restoring it by the system restore.

just a suggestion.

Why haven't you got the disc then?

If you could reinstall do your have the product key code?

Why do you want to reinstall?

No you can't, as you'd need the CDs to load the data from.

PC should have come with a CD.

yes, you shouls have recieved the boot up disc in case of computer malfunction, this will either be a floppy disk or cd rom,
