Just download XP and make it your preferred??

There is no need to crash Vista. If you have the Windows XP disc, then you just need to boot from it. Put it in your CD/DVD drive and start your computer (or restart with the disc in the drive). You may need to change your Bios settings to make sure that the CD drive is the first boot device.
Once you boot from the disc, allow XP to install. Remember that if you FORMAT your hard drive it will wipe everything that is on there - so BACK UP your important files!!

first u must install xp then vista
so buy a bootable cd of xp and formatt c:
install xp easily
