there are problems with laptop dvd player software i think. i'm using the cyberlink powerdvd software to play dvd videos. it was installed in the laptop during purchase of the laptop. and one thing is that this software has a limitation at playing region dvds. it allows one to change the region codes only 6 times, meaning that if set region 2, after 6 times of changing the setting, one can't change the setting anymore, meaning that it will stick as region 2. How? Can anyone tell me which software is better, which don't have any region restrictions.

I'm looking for a way to improve the quality of a vocal recording I've done to reduce all of the distortion and such, whilst leaving the speech intact, and hopefully improving it.

Is there any way to make the sound clearer, perhaps by downloading some legal free-to-use shareware or something?

I have a Packard Bell W1801 upgraded laptop, and also a Creative Labs USB SoundBlaster Audigy2 NX, (which I'm having some difficulty with, so I'd be grateful if a method for putting it through to the laptop directly was found).

Any help here would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

are they based on dates?
or on updates?
or on version release sequence?
what all do the w,x,y,z specify in the version specification?
can we name it in our own way for our product, or has it got a proper meaning?

When i first installed vista it was there in my computer,that is the cd/dvd drive icon,but now after a few reboots its has vanished and i can't use any cd's or dvd's on it anymore,i went to the hardware manager n over there there is an exclamation mark by the driver,i tried looking on the net through the hardware updater but it said i already have the latest driver and the drive was still missing in my computer,if it isn't a driver problem y isnt the drive functioning normally and how can i resolve it??

when i first installed vista i used my old sound max driver dat i used on xp,it worked fine for a day or 2.When i rebooted my comp on da 3rd day i think it was echoing and disturbed,I downloaded some other sound driver for vista but its still the same even after rebooting,wat should i do to get it working???

I am new to burning DVDs on disc and wondering why when I burn to a disc I keep getting DVD-ROM and not DVD video. They play on my laptop and not in the DVD player. I have used DIVX burning software and DeepBurner burning software.

My itunes is asking if I want to upgrade to 7.0 Is it worth it? If I stick w/the one I have will it be useless or something? I got my ipod a year ago and downloaded itunes then (so not sure which itunes I currently have). Btw, I've been hearing not too good things about itunes 7.0 Is it true? I've just spent a LONG time installing some software. When I came back to my PC I've got a Installation window in the middle of my desktop - but it's minimized so small I can't get at it. If I right click I get "close or move". I can't open the thing back up. suggestions?

why when i click internet explorer i get a sound coming from the area of my floppy and hard drive,its like a scraping sound,it happens only when i try to use internet explorer and not firefox

I'd prefer one with an "automatic rename" feature, or something that will automatically append a file extension to downloads without any, since I download ALOT of Youtube videos which are basically named "get_video" with no .FLV--and it gets annoying to do it over and over.

While i am installing Windows XP ,at one step the computer reboots and asks to insert the CD which is labeled Windows Professional XP Service Pack 2 and then press Enter.
I put the CD and pressed Enter.But it is not accepting it?What could be problem and what is the solution for this?

I want to make a menu for my DVD Im putting together. Im putting a DVD together (slideshow) with some video of a loved one that passed away. So I want to make a menu when yuo put the DVD in, you can click on what slide you want to play...

Almost like when you put a regular DVD in and you get to choose PLAY, SPECIAL FEATURES, Etc. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
